UD Almería U19 'A' vs Real Betis U19: top-of-the-table clash to become pacesetters

The UDA Academy hopefuls host the current Group IV leaders at midday this Sunday.

UD Almería Under-19s 'A' will have to play a game against Real Betis under-19s at midday this Sunday as if it were a final. The UDA Academy hopefuls are runners-up with 60 points, while the Verdiblancos top the Group IV table on 63 points. A defeat could make it very difficult for Alberto Lasarte's team to become leaders. The UD Almeria youth team will head into this match on the back of a bitter 3-1 defeat to Recreativo de Huelva. That negative result was obtained following the fatigue experienced within a packed schedule as the lads are playing matches every four days.

On the other hand, Real Betis under-19s are in good form at the minute riding a positive run of results as they collected points in the last three weeks. The real battle takes place at midday this Sunday at the Francisco Pomedio ground located in the town of Huércal de Almería.

This 'Tour's Tourmalet' climb with an apt simile is coming to an end, but the toughest tests are still to be taken in the next two weeks, first with this vital game against the Beticos, and later with the thrilling Spanish Cup U19 tie against RC Deportivo de la Coruña U19s on Wednesday, 8th March.
