It was 'B' teams derby day at the UD Almería Anexo pitch, with UD Almería 'B' and Atlético Malagueño renewing acquaintances a year on, this time on Matchday 6 in the Tercera RFEF Group IX.

Last season, the Academy Rojiblancos had unfinished business on home soil. This time, however, things are looking very different. 3 home games, 3 wins, and UD Almería 'B' are back among the play-off places.

UD Almería 'B' started on the front foot, playing with pace, purpose and clinical finishing to take control of the contest early on. They went into half-time with a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Marciano in the 20th minute and Bajramović in the 34th.

However, injuries and the resulting substitutions disrupted the home side's plans. The situation worsened after the break, with UD Almería 'B' having used all their available substitutions. Further injury problems left them down to 10 men in the closing stages.

Atlético Malagueño took advantage, pulling a goal back and making for a nervy finish as the hosts battled to see out the win until the final whistle.

The UDA Academy prospects continue their impressive home form, claiming another three points and strengthening their push for the play-off places.
