UD Almería raring to start second half of season on the right foot

The Rojiblancos are training behind closed doors at the Power Horse Stadium and they will be flying charter to Madrid on Monday morning. All the players are eligible to feature in the first reverse fixture.

UD Almería are about to complete their preparation for Monday's first reverse fixture against Rayo Vallecano at the Vallecas Stadium (KO 9pm CET/ Matchday 20). The players are raring to start the second stage of the league on the right foot.

Training sessions are being conducted behind closed doors at the Power Horse Stadium, where the players will meet up again for another practice on Sunday evening. The UD Almería travelling squad are going to catch a charter flight to Madrid at 9:45am on Monday.

Head coach Rubi, as he admitted in the pre-Rayo press conference, has all his players available for selection, although there is still a training session ahead. There are no injury concerns.

UD Almería will go into this match on the back of a brilliant victory over RCD Espanyol de Barcelona and a three-week unbeaten streak including hard-fought draws with Valencia CF and Atlético de Madrid. The Rojiblancos are in a strong moment and they will make the most of it in Vallecas next Monday, 6 February.
