Ramazani handed five-game ban and €2.400 fine

The RFEF Competition Committee suspends him one match for the two yellow cards received against Villarreal CF and four for insults, improper attitude and inappropriate comments towards the referee

Largie Ramazani has practically said goodbye to the current 2023/24 season after being handed a five-game ban by the RFEF Competition Committee after his sending-off against Villarreal CF and his improper attitude towards the referee at the conclusion of the fixture in the changing rooms zone. The 23-year-old footballer has been suspended with one match for the two yellow cards he received in the 87th minute, and with four games for insults, improper attitude and inappropriate comments towards the match official at the end of the match.

In addition, the Belgian has been punished with a fine of €2,400. Article 99 of the RFEF Disciplinary Committee has been applied to the UD Almería left-winger, which contemplates a suspension between 4 and 12 matches, so Ramazani has received the lowest sanction.

Referee Miguel Ángel Ortiz Arias wrote in the game card the following: 'Once the match was over and inside the tunnel, home team player No. 7 Largie Ramazani approached me aggressively and with an improper attitude, without reaching to contact me physically because he was held back by approximately four members of the home team. Once he was held back, he shouted at me: F****** d*******! F******* c***! F******* idiot!'
