Íñigo Eguaras: 'We're working very hard because January is going to be key'

The UD Almería midfielder believes that 'all the teams may have a hard time getting back into the competition' and hopes that the Rojiblancos cope well with the resumption.

'We're working well and very hard, grasping the concepts that the head coach is teaching us,' said UD Almería defensive midfielder Íñigo Eguaras to the Club's official media. The Navarra native footballer recognised that 'we're experiencing an atypical situation because there had never been a break like this before.' He also considers that 'all the teams may have a hard time getting back into the competition. What I hope is that we cope well with the resumption.' Especially when the first league fixture to be played on 30 December 'is vital' as he describe it since Cádiz CF 'are direct rivals.'

The 30-year-old player stressed 'if we're capable of moving forward with this match, we'll make our presence known.' For the Rojiblanco midfielder 'the month of January is going to be key' to succeeding, the training sessions carried out over this preparation period are fundamental, and in this regard, Eguaras explained 'we also have to be the best version of ourselves because we're a reliable and strong team at home.

Íñigo Eguaras coincided with latest signing Luis Suárez at Real Zaragoza, and mentioned that 'he's an powerful striker with an eye for goal... Luis goes very well into spaces, behind the defenders... it offers many alternatives.'
The UD Almería midfielder was convinced that 'he's going to integrate fast because of his way of being and because our togetherness. The same thing happened to me. The captains and team-mates make it really easy for you. They're always there to lend a helping hand.'
