0-1: UD Almería U19 'A' pull off hard-fought victory against CF Rusadir
The UDA Academy graduates obtain 3 more points to remain table-toppers. Rachad headed home the match winning goal 87 minutes in.
UD Almería U19s 'A' won once again, but the lads struggled to get these three points against opponents who, despite their latest results, made things really difficult for Alberto Lasarte's boys. It was not until minute 87 when the match winning goal was hammered home by Rachad to seal victory and pack their suitcases with three valuable, hard-fought points in the race to hold the lead. Whatever happens on the Matchday, the UDA Academy prospects will remain top of the table.
From the opening minutes, it was felt that it was not going to be easy. The hosts were very clear about their idea of the game through a solid defence and waiting for a counter-attack that would give them the chance to find the net. There were two evenly matched sides over the first half.
In the second half, the Academy Rojiblancos were the dominant side and engineered more chances. The result of that good teamwork, almost at the end of the game, in the 87th minute, Rachad celebrated the only goal of the match with a thumping header that gave them all three points.
It was hard-fought victory achieved on a field where it is difficult to win against highly competitive opponents.
