UD Almería U19 'A' two steps away from Spanish Cup U19 silverware!

The UDA Academy hopefuls face Dépor U19s this Wednesday (KO 8pm Spanish Time). Head coach Alberto Lasarte states: 'We've packed suitcases for six days'

UD Almería Under-19s 'A' have another appointment to go down in history, one more within this unforgettable season. The UD Almería Academy Rojiblancos are facing RC Deportivo de La Coruña U19s this Wednesday (KO 8pm Spanish Time) at the Reino de León Stadium. In Alberto Lasarte's humble opinion, the Galician team is the 'giant-killer' of this year's Spanish tournament since they knocked 2018 champs Atlético de Madrid U19s and Villarreal CF U19s out, with an impressive comeback away from home included; previously, Celta de Vigo U19s exited the Spanish Cup U19 at hands of the Deportivistas.

UD Almería U19s 'A' ousted Elche CF U19s, Alavés U19s and UD Las Palmas U19 on the road, the latter through epic drama as they won in the 88th minute. The Under-19s 'A' man in the driving seat, Alberto Lasarte, spoke to UDA Radio during their trip to León city (Castilla y León) to look ahead to the historic game they will be playing this Wednesday: 'We're full of hope. It's the most important game they've played in their short footballing careers. For me, it's also one of the most important in all my years coaching.'

The UD Almería Under-19s boss knows perfectly how to approach the match: 'I have everything very clear, line-up, plan B, how to play, what weapons we have and what are theirs...' and highlighted: 'They're a team that has international players with an absolute offensive power.'

In addition, Mr Lasarte made one thing clear: 'We've packed suitcases for six days,' because the objective of the whole travelling squad is to win every duel as if it were the last play. The teenage Rojiblancos' mister praised his players on the Club's official radio station: 'The team has a winning mentality and a lot of resilience. We're well prepared to compete. Our mental toughness is what makes the difference,' he concluded.
