UD Almería 'B' are ready to take on the 2026/27 season with the clear objective of securing promotion back to the fourth-tier Segunda RFEF, following their relegation from the division a few months ago.

The youthful Rojiblancos return to Group IX of the Tercera RFEF, a highly competitive and demanding league in which they will be one of the teams expected to challenge for promotion. That status could prove an added challenge, particularly given the youthfulness of the squad.

Pre-season has produced encouraging signs, with the team improving as the weeks have gone by. However, the significant changes made to the squad could mean that a period of adaptation and team-building will be required as the competitive action gets underway.

UD Almería 'B' will come up against 3 other sides who were also relegated last season: Melilla, as well as the 'B' teams of Málaga CF and Granada CF. The group also features several established names in the division, including CF Motril, Arenas de Armilla CYD, UD Ciudad de Torredonjimeno, Atlético Mancha Real, UD San Pedro y CD Alhaurino.

There will also be a local derby to look forward to, following Cantoria FC's promotion to the Tercera RFEF.

The team, led by new head coach Pablo Nozal, will begin their campaign on the road. UD Almería 'B' travel to the artificial pitch at the Málaga Football Federation facilities on Sunday to face Málaga Junior FC, who earned promotion to the Tercera RFEF last season.

The challenge is set, and UD Almería 'B' are ready to get the new campaign underway.
