UD Almería 'B' strengthen midfield with Kassoum Kone and Niko Tomasevic

The two new recruits join the Club's 'B' team adding two different profiles to the heart of the team

UD Almería 'B' have strengthened their midfield ahead of the start of the season with the arrival of two players who will bring different qualities to the youth team.

Kassoum Kone joins from Al Ittihad, while Niko Tomasevic arrives from RB Leipzig, with both players joining the Club on permanent transfers. The two midfielders bring contrasting profiles but will both add further strength and depth to UD Almería 'B's midfield options.

Frenchman Kone is a defensive midfielder who covers plenty of ground and brings energy and physicality to the middle of the park. Before moving to Al Ittihad, he was part of Nantes' Academy, and he now joins UD Almería Academy set-up following his transfer to the Club.

Meanwhile, Tomasevic offers a more creative and attacking option in midfield. The Croatian is a left-footed player who can operate as a central midfielder or further forward as a No.10 and is particularly effective at joining attacks from midfield. Standing at 6ft 1in, he also provides a strong physical presence and is an asset in the air. Since arriving at the Andalusian Club, he has already been involved in first-team training sessions.

Both players were welcomed to the Club by UD Almería CEO Mohamed El Assy, who wished them both every success in their new chapter as Rojiblancos.
