1-0: Real Jaen CF edged their way past UD Almería 'B'

The UDA Academy Rojiblancos put in a great display and whipped in big chances, but Juanma's match winning-goal was enough for the hosts to claim victory.

UD Almería 'B' were edged out by Real Jaén CF, but the performance put in by Óscar Fernández's boys was praiseworthy. The UDA Academy Rojiblancos played a good game with many chances whipped in and with the possibility of having been able to take the lead before the Jaén's match winning-goal after a missed opportunity from Avelino, but the effectiveness was enjoyed by the home youth team, who earned all three points eventually.

Despite this defeat, the UD Almeria 'B' team are still in the play-offs. As expected before the game kicked off, the game saw two sides with plenty of energy from the get go with many chances engineered. The opening goal was netted by Real Jaén player Juanma as he made the most of a successful set-piece.

This goal did not deflate the team from Almería, who kept pushing for a goal of their own to get level. Several shots were denied by the host goalkeeper... a ball hitting the crossbar and fine efforts by Marciano, but the only thing the 'B' team boys needed was finding the back of the net. Although they tried until the very end, the UDA Academy products did not find the leveller. The are still in the play-off positions though.
