UD Almería to complete gruelling training sessions before first two weekend friendlies
The squad members hit the gym in the afternoon after a morning practice with injury prevention exercises and tactical drills.
The first two friendlies of this mid-season break at 'La Quinta Football Fields' in Marbella are fast approaching and workloads must be carefully supervised so that these matches really serve as tactical and physical preparation. UD Almería have completed two gruelling training sessions this Thursday in which tactical concepts continued to take centre stage under the guidelines of head coach Rubi in the morning, while in the afternoon, the players worked on their fitness to put an end to the fourth day of their training camp in Marbella.
Until now, the travelling Rojiblancos had been put through their paces under blue skies, however it was raining when they were putting their football boots on at 10am. The players did injury prevention exercises to start with, then some rondos were played and game situations were recreated afterwards. Rubi's observant eye took in every detail as the players are showing themselves receptive with the ball always present.
After lunchtime, all the players hit the gym at 4:45pm. The training plan for this Friday will be pretty much the same as Thursday's. Two exciting friendlies against European sides have been scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
The last league fixture played by the Indálicos took place on 9 November against Getafe CF (Matchday 14), three weeks ago. Avoiding any kind of setback is all that matters over this winter break.
