Rubi: 'We're never going to stop stepping up the pace'

Rubi gives a broad, personal assessment of this mid-season break and looks ahead to the fixture against Cadiz CF in an in-depth interview with the Club's official media from Marbella

The UD Almería head coach has spoken from the winter training camp in Marbella to take stock of these first days of the mid-season break. 'The players started the winter training camp with burning enthusiasm and fighting fit. Everyone is working with the possibility of earning regular starts for the next games, although not being a starter in this team doesn't mean throwing in the towel because in a top tier every minute is vital,' assured UD Almería head coach Rubi from Marbella.

Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia 'Rubi' has covered different topics during an in-depth interview with the Club's official media. With regard to the LaLiga Santander table, the gaffer said: 'Even though we're 5 points above relegation places at the minute, we're never going to stop stepping up the pace.' He shared his thoughts on these first 14 Matchdays: 'If we asked our rivals, they'd surely put us in a more uncomfortable place at this point in the season. The team has played with class and professional pride to end losing streaks.'

There is one month left to fight again for three valuable points and Rubi has previewed the match against Cádiz CF: 'We have to work hard to get there in the best form because if we're able to beat Cádiz CF, we'd have a cushion.
