1-2: Late heartbreak for UD Almería Women

The Rojiblancas fall to defeat in extra-time, but still remain out of the drop zone.

UD Almería Women did not clinch a victory that would have been necessary and lost the game in the 90th minute. Valencia CF 'B' Women took an early lead, although the girls from Almeria levelled the scoring through a brilliant lob goal by Carmen Peláez in the 60th minute. The visitors grabbed a dramatic late winner to seal all three points in Andalusia. After the final whistle, the Rojiblancas remain out of the relegation zone after the defeat suffered by direct rivals Unión Viera Women.

The game started in the worst possible way for the hosts since the Valencian girls took the lead courtesy of Elena's early opening goal. From this point on, there was plenty of end-to-end activity, but neither side managed to convert their chances. The visitors headed down the tunnel leading 0-1.

The second half began with the hosts gaining momentum and within 60 minutes, Carmen Peláez equalised before UD Almería Women were reduced to 10 following the sending off of Anita París. This dismissal inspired the Valencianistas, who put more pressure on the hosts until, in the 90th minute, they broke the deadlock to seal a 1-2 victory thanks to opponent Raquel.
