UD Almería Women missed an excellent opportunity to distance themselves from the drop zone and involve another team in that race for safety. If the Rojiblancas had racked up a victory over CFF Albacete Women, they would have put themselves ahead of their rivals, making their presence known in the table. However, the girls from Almeria squandered big first-half chances and throughout the second period, they lost a game that was crucial. On a positive note, despite this tough defeat, UD Almería Women are still out of relegation.

Rojiblanca Jessi hit the woodwork on 7 minutes, what a shame! Then, Fátima booted emphatically following a good collective play but she missed the target. Next, it was CFF Albacete Women the ones who managed to put themselves in front within 40 minutes through a superbly-taken penalty.

In the second half, the Indalicas reacted and in the 48th minute, Paqui fired home the leveller. From this minute on, the match did not have a clear dominator, however, Miriam's goal was scored to break the deadlock and seal victory over the hosts.

The UD Almería girls went the extra mile until the full-time whistle, but could not tie the game eventually. Better luck next time.
