UD Almería look to get back on their feet again in Seville
The Rojiblancos are ready to make a fresh start and focus squarely on Sunday's fixture. Numerous absences in training.
UD Almería have started a new training week in order to prepare for Sunday's game against Sevilla FC with numerous absences in the squad; Fernando and Melero have been in the medical room while Adrián Embarba, who has a temperature, could not exercise. Baptistão or Sousa, with permission from the Club to sort out some paperwork, did not participate in this Tuesday's morning session.
On a positive note, left-back Akieme, who asked to be subbed in the last game against Villarreal CF, is now fully recovered. After Monday's break, the Rojiblancos have turned their attention to the next outing to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium, where there will be massive points at stake. As a result, the Catalan head coach and his players are eager to start the week with as much quality and energy as possible to succeed next Sunday against direct rivals Sevilla FC in the race for safety. The Indálicos managed to beat the Sevillistas 2-1 on home soil in the first half of the season.
The importance of bouncing back immediately and achieving the first victory away from home this season in a bid to get out of the relegation places is vital. There have been numerous times in which, after a defeat, UD Almería have proven their bouncebackability in the following game, so players and coaches are convinced that this is feasible.
César de la Hoz is the only player who will surely sit out in Seville due to the accumulation of yellow cards. Training will be delivered behind closed doors from this Wednesday (10:30am); the next two will be held at the training base and the last two in the Power Horse Stadium.
