Sometimes you win, sometimes you draw and some other times you lose. It was a bad day at the office for UD Almería Women as they paid for the high effectiveness of Levante UD Women ‘B’ to the point that a single shot at goal within two minutes made it 0-1. Álvaro García Búrdalo’s girls went to incredible lengths to grab an equaliser, but without luck, so they could not prevent the three points from being grabbed by the opponents at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium.

As soon as the contest began, the hosts squandered a big chance. With some seconds gone, Fatima hit the post and could not help her team get ahead. With two minutes on the clock, Levante UD Women ‘B’ put themselves in front thanks to Nuria’s early opener and match winning goal.

From there, UD Almería Women tried to react and in the middle of the first half, the Rojiblancas were very close to cancel the opponents’ opening goal out through a direct free-kick that forced the visiting goalkeeper to parried it away for a corner.

Over the second period, the Levante ‘B’ girls side were well organised and endured the continuous attacks by brave UD Almeria Women. The hosts had a lot of touch in the box and in the 80th minute, Lorena’s header thanks to Jessi’s delivery could not find the back of the net.

There was no time for more action and the early goal conceded condemned UD Almería Women to defeat at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium this Sunday, 15 January.
