2-0: UD Almería Women drop points in close game between two evenly-matched sides
The Rojiblancas take it on the chin despite hard effort against clinical Madrid CF 'B'
Hosts Madrid CF 'B' kept all three points thanks to two goals scored in a close game between two evenly-matched sides and UD Almería Women took it on the chin. A ball that hit the woodwork denied the Indalicas victory in a match that looked destined for a draw. If there was something that was noticeable during the first forty-five minutes, it would be the equality seen on the grass and that would led to a contest with plenty of end-to-end activity. The first threatening situations were created by the home team with goalie Carmen Belmonte looking very confident up to two times to prevent the scoreboard from recording any goal agaisnt. It was then that Fátima was about to put the Rojiblancas in front; within minute 32, the striker tried her luck after a pass from Rocío, but the ball did not find the way to the goal.
Both Almerienses and from Madrileñas continued to put in a brave fight until the the break with a lot of endeavour but no reward yet surprisingly (0-0).
After the game restart, UD Almería Women squandered their biggest chance. Jessi tried a chip and the crossbar prevented the goal. The Indálicas deserved to score and football was so unfair that opponent Alba made it 1-0 on the next play. Despite seeing themselves trailing, the team from Almería looked for a way to cancel the opener out. Then, Susi slotted home the second (2-0) in the final stretch to claim a victory over the visitors who should have earned a better score.
