UD Almería Women aim to make it third time lucky

The Rojiblancas host CFF Olympia this Sunday at 12 noon at the ‘Emilio Campra’ Youth Stadium with Jessi and Paqui Campoy back available

UD Almería Women return to action on Matchday 3 of Group III of the women's Segunda RFEF when they host CFF Olympia from Las Rozas, Madrid, this Sunday at 12 noon at the ‘Emilio Campra’ Youth Stadium.

The Rojiblancas can welcome back Jessi and Paqui Campoy, 2 attack-minded players who missed the opening 2 games while representing Spain’s senior beach volleyball team, with whom they were crowned European champions.

Neither side has tasted victory yet, although the Olympia players have picked up 2 draws, while the Indálicas have suffered defeats against Femarguín (2-3) and in Pozuelo de Alarcón (3-0). The Rojiblancas will be looking to make it third time lucky.

It will be a difficult challenge, however, against an Olympia side on the rise. Their squad combines young players with experienced veterans, while the Madrid-based club have enjoyed several promotions in quick succession to reach this tier, where they are now in their 3rd season. They finished 5th and 3th respectively in their first two campaigns at this level.

For UD Almería Women, the fixture represents an important test of their credentials in the competition, as they look to make their mark and climb away from the lower reaches of the table.
