UD Almería Women suffered their second consecutive defeat of the season after falling to a 3–0 loss against CD Pozuelo de Alarcón Women in their first away game of the 2026/27 campaign. The result came on Matchday 2 of Group III in the women's tier Segunda RFEF, with the hosts taking control of the contest and making the most of their opportunities.

The Rojiblancas, who are still adapting to the demands of the division at the start of the campaign, were unable to find a way into the game despite competing hard throughout. UD Almería Women did have opportunities to take the lead, but Pozuelo players enjoyed more possession and the greater attacking initiative, making their chances count.

The home side took the lead in the 39th minute when Llorente found the breakthrough. The home team then doubled their advantage just before half-time through Marina Serrano, leaving the guests from the South coast with a 2-goal deficit at the interval.

The Rojiblancas came out after the break determined to respond. Having already shown their ability to fight back from a 2–0 deficit in their opening league fixture, they pushed forward in search of a way back into the match.

However, Pozuelo remained solid and managed the game effectively. The hosts eventually put the result beyond doubt in the 87th minute when Adriana scored the 3rd goal (3-0).

The match was also affected by several circumstances for UD Almería Women. Ángela Cañadas was forced to leave the pitch through injury after just 6 minutes, presenting an early setback for the team.

UD Almería Women were also once again without Jessi and Paqui Campoy, who have been representing Spain at the Euro Beach Soccer League. Both players will be available again for the next league fixture after being crowned European champions with the national beach soccer team.
