Jessi Higueras and Paqui Campoy remain in contention for the continental title with the Spanish national beach soccer team. Spain opened the tournament with a 2-1 defeat against hosts Italy before bouncing back with an impressive 4-1 victory over Poland.

Spain will face Portugal in the semi-finals as they continue their bid for European glory.

Both players are regular members of the national team, but their international commitments mean they will miss the opening rounds of the women's Segunda RFEF campaign with UD Almería Women. Jessi and Paqui are expected to return to Almería next week.
