UD Almería to face last week of competition before World Cup break

The Rojiblancos host Getafe CF on Wednesday for a LaLiga Santander fixture, while they start their Copa del rey journey by visiting CD Arenteiro in Galicia this Sunday.

UD Almería are gearing up to face the last week of competition before the winter break to accommodate the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The Rojiblancos have two official matches ahead of them in four days. The first of them will be played at the Power Horse Stadium on Wednesday (KO 7pm CET), where the Almerienses host Madrid-based side Getafe CF (Matchday 14).

After three home victories on the bounce over Rayo Vallecano, Girona FC and Celta de Vigo, UD Almería will be giving it their all to clinch the fourth win to head into the winter break in an important position towards their objective of staying up in the top tier. In addition, they will be facing direct rivals, so the appointment is relevant with an eye to maintain consistency on home soil as far as the year 2022 is concerned.

Four days after playing host to Getafe CF, UD Almería will start gearing up to play the Copa del Rey tie. On Sunday, 13 November (KO 9pm CET), Rubi’s side visit lower-tier side CD Arenteiro from the town Carballino, Ourense, Galicia. The hosts compete in the fourth-tier Segunda Division RFEF. It is a long journey to go on in order to play the first tie against opponents who have recently been crowned champions of the Copa Federacion and that in its league group occupy a VIP place.
