UD Almeria put in a hard day’s work at ‘La Quinta Football Fields’

There has been plenty of ball work and finishing drills on the second football practice for the Rojiblancos in Marbella

While the domestic season is still on hold and the World Cup Qatar 2022 is taking place at its unusual spot in the football calendar, UD Almería have completed their second practice of their winter training camp in Marbella. The players have been training hard in the morning and afternoon sessions scheduled for this Tuesday. The ‘La Quinta Football fields’ at the Marbella Football Center hosted the squad early in the morning, who have practised their finishing skills and have done plenty of ball work. The players had more fun in the afternoon as they were hard-working in the morning.

The bugle call for breakfast was at 8am and until late afternoon, the players and coaching staff have not stopped working. The first of the two sessions kicked off at 8:30am while the second started at 4:30pm; inbetween, some time was fixed for gym work-outs in addition to the individual work since team success starts with the individual. The footballers returned to the hotel around 7pm. It is noteworthy that the drills lasted longer than two hours in which, literally, the team had no time for breaks.

The head coach wants to make the most of every second of this winter training camp and on this second day, after the completion of a number of finishing drills, the players were then working on defensive and offensive game mechanisms over the second part of the morning preparation; the quality on show was evident. The group was divided in two groups on the two pitches at ‘La Quinta’ with the aim to work on other tactical skills.
