UD Almería 'B' raring to continue grabbing points in threes

The UDA Academy prospects are visiting Atlético Porcuna this Sunday with the aim of recording their third back-to-back victory after snatching victory from the jaws of defeat last weekend.

UD Almería 'B' are raring to continue grabbing points in threes in order to follow on the heels of the top four in the table. After snatching victory from the jaws of defeat against UD Maracena last weekend, the Academy prospects closed the gap on the fourth-placed team, who lost their match.

Right now, Óscar Fernández's boys are fifth within the play-off spots, yet very close to those who come from behind. Atlético Porcuna will be the next opponents to take on. They are an outfit sitting 13th on 15 points, the same as relegation-threatened UD Maracena. Despite their situation in the standings, the Jaén-based team are one of the sides that concede the fewest goals on home soil and if we only took into account the points earned at home, they would climb up into fifth.

In addition, a fact to bear in mind is that the youthful Rojiblancos have never managed to win in that stadium. It will be a tough game against opponents in good home form who need to claw themselves away from the trapdoor badly. The match will be played on Sunday at the San Benito Stadium (kick-off 6pm CET).
