3-0: Resounding victory for UD Almería 'B' against El Palo FC
The UD Almeria youth side get back to winning ways after beating the third placed team in the table. Gilbert and Marciano were the scorers of the match.
UD Almería 'B' won their game against El Palo FC to get back to winning ways after five games without scoring points. The youthful Rojiblancos started the game with plenty of energy to collect the three points and they soon began to fashion chances. In the 20th minute, the opening goal was scored by Gilbert, and as the game head into half-time, Marciano slotted home the second goal. Just a minute later he netted the third to seal victory (3-0).
In the first half, Óscar Fernández's boys walked out onto the pitch with very clear ideas, effective passing and approaching the visitors' goal with precision.
The starting XI for UD Almería 'B' suffered some changes, for instance, Martin Sviderskyv made his debut with the 'B' team. The performance of the Slovenian was brilliant. Twenty minutes into the game, the opener was scored by Gilbert after taking advantage of a rebound inside the area, and thus putting the Rojiblancos ahead. However, shortly after the goal, the team from Malaga was going to have a great opportunity; a one-on-one between Desty and Obón in which the Rojiblanco goalkeeper narrowed all the spaces, making the rival striker throw the ball out.
UD Almería 'B', after this move, tried to dominate the match by having possession of the ball and to a large extent succeeded, since the visiting team was not capable of creating much danger on the Indalicos' goal.
The last minutes of the first half were hectic, El Palo FC rued missed chances, but between fortune and Obón, they managed to avoid it. In the 41st minute, Marciano doubled their lead through a long-range pass that hit a defender when trying to clear the ball and ended up scoring an own goal. When the team from Malaga was recovering from that goal, in the next play, it would be 3-0 thanks to Marciano's stunning goal.
In the second half, the opponents went all out to fire an early goal and were about to get it in the first play, however, they would find a spectacular Obón who saved it. The rival kept trying for several more minutes, but the Almería lads were very well organised.
After 66 minutes, the visitors were very close to pulling one back 1-3, but Falu's shot hit the post. Finally, the Rojiblancos would manage to maintain that positive result to get back to winning ways and within the promotion play-offs.
