Mendes: 'My goal for the new year is to continue helping the team'
The 24-year-old French stresses 'the squad members are getting good vibes' ahead of the LaLiga Santander resumption.
'I felt good playing against Torino FC. In every game, I first think about defending well and then also do my bit in attack' stressed Houboulang Mendes during a friendly interview with the Club's official media.
The Rojiblanco right-back spoke about Thursday's appointment against Italian Serie A side SS Lazio, assuring 'they're a tough team and it'll be a difficult game for both of us, although we hope to earn victory.'

With regard to head coach Rubi, the 24-year-old said 'he trusts me and advises me on how to become a better player.' In addition, on a personal level, the UD Almería player highlighted that his main goal for the new year is 'to continue helping the team as much as possible, and featuring in many games.'
The French footballer of Guinea-Bissauan origin commented 'the first months were kind of complicated because I didn't know any Spanish but now I understand everything. My family and I feel great here.'
