UD Almería 'B' played a tough match against UD Maracena. It was their first game of 2023. The rivals put themselves in front with an eight-minute goal after an explosive shot by Rosales, against which Obón could do nothing, especially with the contribution of the strong wind too.

Then, the youthful Rojiblancos kept possession and the initiative but that did not create big chances except for a strike from the edge of the box thanks to Núñez. The UD Maracena keeper cleared for a corner though.

After the break, UD Almería 'B' walked out onto the pitch determined to slot it home with Carlos Rojas being in charge of the offensive game. Little by little, the lads of Almeria made things difficult for the Granadinos although without fashioning clear goal-scoring chances.

The substitutions made in the second half took effect in the course of the match. Cuenca scored the leveller from 12 yards after Rojas' breakaway, who received a challenging tackle when he was facing the goal. The UDA Academy Rojiblanco defender equalised shortly after hitting the crossbar with a thumping header.

Oscar Fernández's side did not give up at any time, and in the 91st minute, Lokosa made it 2-1 after a great assist laid on inside the area courtesy of Marezi, who debuted as a Rojiblanco after moving from the first team.
