0-0: UD Almería U19 'A' and Real Betis U19 share the points

The Academy Rojiblancos failed to top the table against direct rivals and fall into third place, but they keep hopes of leading the pack three points within reach.

UD Almería Under-19s 'A' had to settle for a hard-fought draw with current leaders Real Betis U19, who enjoyed the better chances while the youthful Indálicos dug deep and struggled creatively in the final third. Goalie Bruno took a leading role again producing several impressive saves.

It was a tight encounter from the get go with both youth sides running up and down the pitch in search for the opening goal. Opponent Pablo's first shot on goal was denied on 28 minutes. Afterwards, there were more threatening situations but it was all square at half-time (0-0).

As soon as the second half began, Betis under-19s spurned another very clear opportunity in Rodrigo's boots through a low shot grazing the post. Then, the Academy Indálicos pressed high, cheered on by their fans at all times, but lacked pinpoint precision.

In the closing minutes, UD Almería U19's 'A' piled on the attack against the Verdiblancos and could have clinched the victory, yet the effective defensive solidity by the Beticos prevented them from grabbing all three points to take their place atop of the table.

UD Almería under-19s'A' could not get it done to get the victory, however the lads picked up a valuable point to continue fighting for the lead.
