The Academy prospects return to the Anexo base on Sunday at 12 noon to host Jaén-based side Atlético Porcuna CF, who have the same number of points as the youthful Rojiblancos
UD Almería 'B' are set to play their fourth league game of the season in Group IX of the Tercera RFEF, with the aim of bouncing back from their first defeat, suffered last Sunday away to San Pedro. The lads will welcome Atlético Porcuna CF from Jaén to the Anexo pitch, with kick-off scheduled for 12 noon on Sunday.
The visitors currently sit 6th in the table with 6 points, the same tally as UD Almería 'B', who are 4th. Both sides have won two games and lost one. Atlético Porcuna CF have won both of their home matches, while in their only away fixture they suffered a heavy 6–1 defeat against Atlético Malagueño CF, Málaga CF’s 'B' team.
The youthful Rojiblancos, whose objective is to return to the higher division, will face a side that combines youth with experience, including several seasoned players. Atlético Porcuna CF are well established in the Tercera RFEF and are now in their 7th consecutive season in the competition, apart from the 2023/24 campaign, when they competed in the División de Honor division.
UD Almería 'B' have another opportunity to find their rhythm in the competition and complete their adaptation to the league, particularly after the changes made to the squad. So far, both of their victories and last Sunday’s defeat have all been decided in the final stages of the matches.
