UD Almería 'B' suffered their first defeat of the season in Group IX of the Tercera RFEF, going down 1-0 away to UD San Pedro on Matchday 3.

After opening the campaign with victories over Málaga Juniors and Alhaurino, the youthful Rojiblancos faced a tough test against experienced San Pedro on an artificial pitch.

The hosts made a bright start and created the clearer chances during the opening 45 minutes, but UD Almería 'B' remained well organised and disciplined to keep the game level at the break.

Changes were made at half-time as the visitors looked to add greater attacking threat. The second half produced chances at both ends, with neither side able to find the breakthrough.

Just when it appeared the points would be shared, the San Pedro boys struck in the 88th minute. Aitor España found the decisive goal to put the hosts ahead (1-0).

UD Almería 'B' pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages, but UD San Pedro held on to secure all 3 points.

Despite the defeat, UD Almería 'B' remain among the leading sides in the table after 3 match weeks.
