UD Almería take part in raise-funding campaign to support Turkey-Syria earthquake relief effort

The Indálicos and other Spanish clubs have agreed on joint action to collaborate with the 'Cada Minuto Cuenta' campaign launched by the Spain Emergency Committee.

LaLiga, in collaboration with the top-tier and second-tier clubs including UD Almería, supports the 'Cada Minuto Cuenta' [Every Minute Counts] raise-funding campaign launched by the Spain Emergency Committee to help the people affected by the massive earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria a few days ago.

LaLiga will ensure the implementation of communications and visibility interventions to raise awareness during the broadcast of the matches as well as through its media and social networks. As from LaLiga Santander Matchday 21 and LaLiga SmartBank Matchday 27, the advertising campaign will encourage football fans to donate.

LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have agreed that a minute of silence will be observed in the early stages of the games in memory of the victims of the terrible disaster. In addition, the starting XIs will pose showing a message in support of the cause. The stadium announcers and the scoreboards will remind the attendees of the existence of this campaign.

The pitch-side LED advertising boards will also display messages of support. Furthermore, the LaLiga Fan Cam will be available for players who wish to express their support to the victims of the earthquake and their families. In addition, LaLiga will work on this project together with other institutions and organisations such as the LNFS, the ASOBAL league or Aficiones Unidas. All with the main aim of keeping people acutely aware of the need to participate in a campaign in which every minute counts.
