Rodrigo Ely and Alejandro Pozo to undergo further injury assessment

UD Almeria have a recovery session this Sunday. Monday off duty. Back to work on Tuesday. Robertone and Baptistao, available for selection again

Rodrigo Ely and Alejandro Pozo will undergo further assessment with the Club’s medical team to determine the severity of their injuries. Both players were unable to finish the match against Real Betis as they sustained injury scares. In fact, the centre-back was forced off the pitch in the 32nd minute, being replaced by Chumi, while the full-back left at half-time with Mendes taking his place. Both will undergo medical tests, although the situation of the Brazilian is more worrying, who, as Rubi commented in the post-match presser, may have suffered a micro tear.

The squad have an active recovery training session this Sunday and they will have Monday off duty before returning to work on Tuesday. When training resumes, the players will turn their attention to Friday’s game at the Motilivi Stadium (KO 9pm CET), where the Indalicos will be hosted by arch-rivals Girona FC, who are two points above them in the LaLiga Satander table. Robertone and Leo Baptistao will be available for this appointment as they have already served one-game bans.
