UD Almería saddened to hear about the passing of former Rojiblanco Modeste M'Bami

The Cameroonian midfielder, who played for Almería in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons, has suffered a heart attack at the age of 40.

Former UD Almería midfielder Modeste M'Bami in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons, has died this Saturday at the age of 40, as a result of a heart attack. The news has shocked all the members of the Club, his former team-mates and the fans, since he was a footballer with charisma who also settled down in Almería city, having relationship with the Club after his departure. 
M'Bami played for UD Almería in the first promotion to the first division together with players with he likes of Piatti, Crusat, Leo Ulloa, Corona, Ortiz Bernal, Juanma Ortiz, Acasiete, Diego Alves... The Cameroonian arrived in 2009 after playing in France, where he wore the jerseys of PSG and Olympique de Marseille. After playing for UD Almería, he went to China, Saudi Arabia and Colombia to end his time as a footballer in 2017 at French club AC Le Havre.
