Rubi: ‘They’re possibly the team who have played the best match here’
The UD Almeria head coach delivered his verdict in the post-Real Sociedad presser and highlighted the difficulty of the first home match of 2021 against Real Sociedad, who played brilliantly over the full 90 minutes.
After falling to defeat to Real Sociedad, UD Almeria head coach Rubi spoke to the media in the press room of the Power Horse Stadium. The Rojiblancos’s gaffer made an assessment of the first match of 2023 and highlighted the considerable difficulty against the tough adversaries.
Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia assured the media: ‘We played a good first half, but we quickly lost momentum in the second. He also added: ‘We headed into the break with an uneasy feeling because we couldn't keep hold of the ball, but it's true that it was a fair result.’
UD Almería were unable to play their game and were outplayed by Real Sociedad throughout the match, Rubi warned of this, and after the match, he confirmed it again: ‘Today we’ve faced the team that wins the most clashes on an individual level.
