Football and construction are currently going hand in hand at the UD Almería Stadium. While the first-team squad continue their preparations on the pitch, work is advancing across the Stadium as part of the Phase II redevelopment project.

The South stand is currently the main focus of activity, with heavy machinery carrying out excavation and groundworks as the project continues to move forward according to schedule.

At the same time, the day-to-day demands of professional football remain a priority. Pitch maintenance, training sessions, Matchday preparations and the installation and removal of the protective covers all have to be carefully coordinated with the ongoing construction work.

In the South stand, excavation is now close to reaching the foundation level for the new stairways that will connect the existing stands with the new lower tier. Once completed, the new structure will increase the Stadium’s capacity and further enhance the Matchday experience at the UDA Stadium.

Work has also begun in the North stand, where groundworks are now underway and the support structure for the protective covers is being installed.

The next major stage of the project is scheduled to begin in October, when micropiling works will get underway to lay the foundations for the future stormwater retention tanks.

The redevelopment continues to take shape, with the UD Almería Stadium steadily moving towards its new chapter.
