UD Almería ready to play one of the most watched football games worldwide

The Rojiblancos will go all out to beat Barça in testy encounter at the Spotify Camp Nou. The eyes of millions of viewers will be on them this Saturday.

UD Almería will be playing this Saturday one of the most watched games in the world of football as they are visiting FC Barcelona at the Spotity Camp Nou Stadium (kick-off 9pm Spanish Time/ Matchday 13). Playing at this stadium or at the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid means that millions of viewers worldwide will be watching the game since this LaLiga Santander fixtures will be televised on all continents. On top of that, defender Gerard Piqué will play his last game as a Barça player this Saturday, breaking news that will pull in the crowds at the venue and behind the screens.

As a result, UD Almería will have to put in a brave battling display to try to shock the the hosts and make sure that supporters in the stands, TV viewers and radio listeners are taken aback. FC Barcelona have only shared the spoils once in their stadium this season, where they have kept clean sheets in every home match, and besides, the Azulgranas have the possibility of topping the LaLiga Santander table this weekend should they win.

On the other hand, the Rojiblancos have picked up a point on their outings so far and have not yet managed to keep a clean sheet. These stats and the difference in potential within both squads are very significant. Not everything always goes the way teams planned in football, and therefore UD Almería will rely on their progressive improvement in the championship and their strategy: Real Betis were certainly on the ropes unable to keep possession and faced relentless waves of attack at times while the Indalicos were about to shock Villarreal FC in Valencia.

Meanwhile, UD Almeria will have to ignore the raucous atmosphere at the Spotify Camp Nou, adapt to the characteristics of the pitch and remain very focused throughout the full 90 minutes in a bid to play the perfect game... as long as FC Barcelona don't do it, of course.

UD Almería, who have not played at the Barça's Stadium since 2015, are catching a charter flight to Barcelona at 9:30am this Saturday.
