UD Almería ramp up preparations to try to face FC Barcelona feeling more confident in a testy encounter at the Spotify Camp Nou Stadium. The Azulgranas will be hosting the Rojiblancos this Saturday at 9pm (Spanish Time) on Matchday 13.
Rubi's players have worked up a sweat at the Power Horse Stadium, where they will also be training on Thursday and Friday. The UD Almería travelling squad will be catching a charter flight to Barcelona on Saturday morning. The squad, under Rubi's guidelines, is now working on the tactics and strategy for the match against rivals of undoubted potential who have only shared the spoils once on their field so far in the championship; it was in the opening game against Rayo Vallecano. Then, the Azulgranas swept Real Valladolid CF aside (4-0) and Elche CF (3-0), edged past Celta de Vigo (1-0) as well as they thrashed Villarreal FC (3-0) and Athletic Club de Bilbao (4-0).
Barça along with Real Madrid CF, are the highest scoring teams in the LaLiga Santander, with 29 goals, and also those who concede the fewest goals (4). They have been unbeaten in their stadium up to now.
After exiting the UEFA Champions League, Xavi Hernández's team has the League title as their main objective. As the Catalans are playing before Real Madrid CF, who visit Vallecas on Monday, on this Matchday, they will go all out for a victory to become leaders at least for a couple of days...
UD Almería will have to put in a brave fight away from home since they have collected one point on their trips against Elche CF. Rubi's men will go the extra mile to shock Barça and surprise everyone in one of the most watched football matches worldwide.
