UD Almeria attend ‘LaLiga Impulso’ conference with clear focus on professionalisation

For the second consecutive year, 42 Spanish clubs take part in work sessions on branding, digital strategy, communication and business development at the PortAventura World entertainment resort.

UD Almeria along with other Spanish football clubs have attended the II Conference of the Plan Impulso [Boost Plan]. More than 18 months after the start of the project, the conference objective focused on evaluating the development by the clubs and conducting immersions in key areas such as technology, digitisation, communication or the brand. Many partners and companies from the world of sport, finance or new technologies also participated.

These work sessions, which took place at the PortAventura World entertainment resort near Tarragona, have served to demonstrate that the agreement with CVC -LaLiga Impulso- encourages the professionalisation of the LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank clubs.

40 LaLiga clubs, including Athletic Club and UD Ibiza, who have joined the conference despite not having joined the Plan Impulso- have participated in sessions on branding, communication and business development. CF Fuenlabrada and SD Amorebieta also went to the conference, despite having been relegated last campaign, showing that it is a collective vision project. Representatives of women's LaLiga F such as its president Beatriz Álvarez were present too.

LaLiga and the Spanish clubs are moving into a new golden era together thanks to ‘LaLiga Impulso’ following the advances experienced in all the clubs throughout these months. All of them presented business plans prior to receiving the funds, as well as initiatives to recruit new personnel to focus on digital strategy, internationalisation and business matters.

Improvements to facilities have been another of the clubs' investment focal points, which are looking for effective ways to improve matchday experience for fans and raise revenue through restaurants, shops or academies that will train youngsters from all over the world.

Several national and international media were invited to this II conference, who in addition to covering the event, met with the clubs' communication managers to exchange opinions and strategies.
