Rubi: ‘We’re thrilled to head into the break with another victory at home’

UD Almeria head coach Rubi highlighted during the post-Getafe press conference the immense importance of this victory before the LaLiga shuts down for a few weeks whilst the 2022 FIFA World Cup takes place in Qatar: ‘We’re thrilled to head into the winter break with another victory achieved at home. ‘I’m extremely satisfied,’ added Rubi with a broad grin on his face.
Regarding the goal, Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia ‘Rubi’ took the opportunity to clarify ‘if we had something planned for that corner, it went as planned, props to the finisher and the player assisting. The team bossed the ball and looked unflappable in every stage of the match and this is how Rubi expressed it at the post-match presser: ‘The team has controlled the match, we’ve never lowered the defensive intensity.’
Rubi made it clear that this winter break to incorporate the Qatar 2022 World Cup is going to do them good to be able to have another pre-season: ‘I’m convinced that this month is going to come in handy. We’ll come back stronger.’
