Robertone: 'This winter break comes just when we're at our best'

The UD Almería central midfielder considers that this pause for the Qatar World Cup started at the most inopportune time for the Rojiblancos

UD Almería central midfielder Lucas Robertone has chatted to UDA Radio about the winter break for the World Cup in Qatar and he highlighted 'I hope that this pause, at least for us, doesn't affect us negatively and that we return with the same high level of performance that we finished just before the break. Although, in my opinion, all teams are going to have a feeling of uncertainty after this short break.'

Regarding the upcoming pre-season in Marbella, the 25-year-old midfielder stated 'the training camp in Marbella is going to come in handy to regain that physical fitness for the second half of the season.'

In addition, the Argentinian player has spoken about his possibility of joining the Argentine squad in the future: 'Yes, If I'm still working like this and I keep this level up, I guess I could have an opportunity with Argentina.'

The Concordia-born player has pointed out 'I don't see myself near or far from my national team. I'm feeling good right now and I'm doing the right thing with UD Almería. It's understandable that you'll not receive an international call-up so easily so I must keep on working hard.'
