The UD Almeria central midfielder is well aware that they have to ‘work’ on various defensive aspects but at the same time, he is highly optimistic about their chances against rivals Girona FC.
The UD Almería central midfielder looked ahead to the upcoming trip to Girona as he caught up with the Club's official media: ‘We always face all the games in the same way. Our idea is to go all out for the 3 points both at home and away.’ The Argentinian has commented ‘The table and the results obtained by the others don't have to influence us. We’re only focused on the next game and opponents. We just have to do our job and avoid looking at what the rest of the teams are doing.’
Regarding UD Almería's next rivals Girona FC, Robertone has said the following: ‘I like coming up against rivals like Girona FC because they’re a team that enjoy having possession, creating plays and attacks. These are really nice matches for the spectators because of the football that both of us play.’ The Concordia native believes ‘both sides are going to press and the key to win the match will be tactical effectiveness.’ The Argentinian also mentioned: ‘Taking the lead at the Montilivi Stadium would be essential in terms of team spirit. I hope that we’ll score the opening goal this weekend.’
Regarding the goals conceded on recent Matchdays, the Rojiblanco footballer has admitted ‘I reckon that most teams in the league go through situations of shipping goals. There was a time when we didn’t concede more than one goal, and now we’ve been conceding more. It’s obviously something to work on and improve, because one of our strengths is the defensive approach to each game.’
