UD Almeria U19 ‘A’ one step away from Spanish Cup U19 semis
The invincible UDA Academy Rojiblancos are playing the Spanish Cup U19 quarter-final tie against UD Las Palmas U19s this Wednesday (KO 8pm CET)
The UD Almería under-19s ‘A’ boys are really eager to keep dreaming and making history. They are having a scintillating season as Group IV leaders of the Division de Honor Juvenil league as they remain unbeaten after 22 games, no less. They are also the youth team that has scored the most goals and are playing the Spanish Cup U19 quarter-finals tie against UD Las Palmas U19 this Wednesday (KO 8pm CET) after knocking Elche and Deportivo Alavés out in the previous rounds.
The invincible UD Almeria Academy youth side are flying out to Gran Canaria island this Tuesday to get match ready against the islanders. Some of Alberto Lasarte's boys have not been able to train properly since they were running a temperature in the past days.
THE RIVALS
A group that will go into the quarter-final tie on the back of a good run of results. Twenty games played, twenty won. UD Las Palmas U19s have scored a total of 85 goals and have only conceded eight so far. In the Copa del Rey U19, the Canarian youth side beat Orientación Marítima in the last-32 tie, rivals from their same group and currently sitting second. They managed to defeat Real Betis 0-3 in the last-16 tie. In addition, they come from winning 3-1 over neighbours Tenerife, a team that last season were competing to lift the title until the last rounds.
The Spanish Cup quarter-final tie will be played on Wednesday at the Anexo ground -artificial grass- of the Gran Canaria Stadium. Kick-off: 8pm (Spain Time).
