Let's go for the last training week of World Cup break!
UD Almería have trained this Saturday and will have Sunday off to face the last days of this mid-season break. Kaiky Fernandes will join the group.
UD Almería completed a morning active recovery session this Saturday after the match played against Torino FC (1-1); The Rojiblancos, who also exercised at the Pinatar Arena facilities as soon as the match ended, are preparing to face the last week of intense preparations since the next friendly will be held prior to the first LaLiga Santander match after the World Cup in Qatar.
Kaiky Fernandes, with a minor injury to the back of his left leg that has prevented him from playing in previous friendlies, will join the group next week if everything goes to plan. It is relevant that over this period the group led by head coach Rubi has not had to regret any setback related to injuries apart from the Brazilian centre-back and Arnau Puigmal feeling some discomfort during the training camp in Marbella.
On Saturday morning, training was mainly focused on the gym and later some rondos and drills conducted on the Anexo training ground for about an hour. Those players who got the most minutes in their legs against Torino FC focused on post-game recovery.
The Rojiblancos have completed a total of four practice matches to date and the vibes have been positive. Despite the quality of the rivals, they have only suffered one narrow defeat, one victory and two draws.
The team has shown signs of feeling prepared and able to compete in Cádiz next 30 December, the date on which they will resume the domestic league after two months of World Cup hiatus.
Sunday will be a day off before getting back to the office on Monday from 10:30 at the training base.
