Akieme: 'We've done things well at home and we can beat anyone'
The UD Almería left-back states: 'We're working hard to play a great match against FC Barcelona' and 'we're feeling strong.'
UD Almería left-back Sergio Akieme spoke to the Club's official media about the upcoming big match against current LaLiga Santander leaders and indicated 'we want to keep a cool head and score points again because we know that we've done things well at home and that we can beat anyone.'
The 25-year-old defender is perfectly aware of the difficulties this Sunday: 'we need to play a good match against FC Barcelona and hope that they won't have their best day.' In addition, the Parleño player truly believes that they must be brave: 'If we stay deep inside our own half of the pitch against Barça, we might feel exhausted to go on the attack. They'll probably dominate us so we'll always have to win the ball back and find our moments of good football.'
Regarding the current situation of the squad, the full-back stressed 'we played the worst game in the league last week, but we aren't in a delicate moment.' The Rojiblanco player underlined 'we've cleared our minds and we're perfectly aware that we have to spend the week with joy and enthusiasm because three massive points are at stake on Sunday and we can bounce back.'
Lastly, the UD Almería footballer sent a message to the loyal fans: 'We understand their feelings of anger [fans]. As the week goes by, the enthusiasm grows and we all can overcome this bad patch together. We want them to trust us because we're going to give it our all on the pitch.'
