UD Almería will go all out for a triumph to turn things around

The Rojiblancos host SD Eibar this Monday (KO 9pm CET). The visitors are ready to achieve the first victory of 2022. The UD Almeria fans’ support will be vital

UD Almería continue with their preparations to host one of their most direct rivals in the race for promotion to the top tier this Monday (KO 9pm Spain Time/ Matchday 24). SD Eibar are 3 points away from the Rojiblancos, the current leaders in the competition. After Real Valladolid CF's draw with Real Zaragoza, the victory is essential for Rubi’s men to once again lead the pack comfortably at the top of the table.

Injuries and infections by Covid-19, without forgetting the Africa Cup of Nations, are taking their toll on UD Almería in 2022. In fact, they have not yet won yet this January. Although, little by little, players are on the mend nearing the end of their recovery processes,  there are still numerous and significant absentees. Rubi stressed during the pre-Eibar presser that everyone will go all out  to turn things around and get back to winning ways. The players  will also have to keep their feet on the ground since the next rivals have enormous potential and are acutely aware of the situation of their hosts this Monday.

Rubi does not make excuses. He believes in his players. Despite the fact that there are many players out of action, UD Almeria have enough useful football skills to be able to defeat SD Eibar. On that note,  the support of the Rojiblancos’ fans will be vital; more than ever. The match will be played on a working day and the 12th Man will make a difference.

The team players will take part in a last low-intensity training session this Monday. Later, they will get together before facing this clash at the Mediterraneo..
