UD Almería looking to hold their lead against third-placed Real Valladolid CF

A highly competitive game for the Rojiblancos who are hoping to win it through their core football skills and the unwavering support of their fans

The day of the big game has come, the one that UD Almería and Real Valladolid CF will be playing as stated by head coaches Rubi and Pacheta. The next game will see two top teams in the Spanish second tier who share the same objective...moving up a tier. They are both on the right track though.

UD Almería are the current pacesetters on a nine-point advantage over next visitors Pucela, who sit third in the table. A victory clinched by the Andalusians means taking a big step forward and that is why they will do their very best to use their core football skills in order to overcome in-form rivals. It will be a highly competitive meeting that UD Almeria are eager to win with their tactics to be displayed on the home ground and also with the unwavering support of their fans. Head coach Rubi has already said in the previous presser that his team must perform at their best in order to beat the next powerful adversaries from Castile and Leon.

The squad members have taken part in one last behind-closed-doors evening practice and this Saturday, the day of the big game, they will be getting together shortly before noon to have lunch and rest a bit before heading back to the Mediterraneo to play the match.

Meanwhile, the supporters in the Juegos Mediterraneos stands will miss Aitor Buñuel, Carriço and Robertone, who are still out of action. On the contrary, Sadiq is back after serving a one-game ban.
