UD Almeria B start long-awaited tournament in ‘Tercera’ on 18th October

RFEF issues an official statement announcing the competition dates. The rest of the Academy youth teams will start at the end of the same month

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has issued an official statement in which it informs that the weekend corresponding to 18th October is the one selected for the competition in Tercera -the fourth-highest division in the Spanish football league system- to kick off. UD Almería B will compete against other Eastern Andalusia teams.

Although it is not yet known whether all of the 21 clubs will make up group IX or, on the contrary, the creation of subgroups will be necessary, the Federation has pointed out that ‘the protocol to be applied will be that of the corresponding Spanish region.’ Thus, with the starting date of the championship already announced, the whole of the Academy will find out in the coming days how the course will be developed on behalf of the Royal Andalusian Football Federation (RFAF).

In addition, that same statement explains that ‘the youth Academy categories will begin at the end of October, provided that the aforementioned protocol is in force.’
