TV audience for UD Almería matches peaks at almost 6 million viewers nationwide

The data was collected over the LaLiga SmartBank 2021/22 season. 24 fixtures were pay-per-view and 18 were free-to-air

During the 2021/22 season, the TV audience for UD Almería fixtures peaked at almost 6 million pairs of eyes on the Rojiblancos nationwide in the televised matches; 5,845,723 TV viewers is a significant figure that doubles the data from the previous campaign.

24 out of the 42 league matches were pay-per-view attracting 1,537,995 fans while the remaining 18 were broadcast free-to-air with a TV audience of 4,307,728 viewers. The UD Almería vs Sporting de Gijón, CD Tenerife VS UD Almería and UD Almería vs SD Eibar matches, all of them offered by Spanish TV channel Gol, exceeded 300,000 spectators.

Real Oviedo vs UD Almería on Matchday 25 as well as UD Almería vs Girona FC on Matchday 33, broadcast on PPV channel Movistar + were watched by more than 100,000 people each.

The average number of TV viewers per game throughout the 2021/22 season was 139,183.

The international data has not been supplied yet, however, an estimated audience of over 6 million were pulled in until Matchday 37, reaching a total of 101 countries following UD Almería vs Girona FC on Matchday 33.

On another note, UD Almeria fans showed up in numbers at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium. A total of 185,905 keen supporters attended home games over the past season, which drew an average of 8,852 attendees per game. The Stadium’s official record crowd is 13,898 for the last home game against AD Alcorcón.
