Pozo: ‘We have another shot on Sunday; automatic promotion cannot escape us’
The right-back highlights ‘each and every CD Leganes footballer is a top-class player’ and considers the massive travelling support to be key
UD Almería are to face the last game of the regular season with tremendous enthusiasm as Alejandro Pozo has pointed out when chatting to the Club's official media: ‘We have another shot and automatic promotion cannot escape us this time. At this point with 80 points we should’ve earned promotion but this year anything can happen between the three teams that are fighting for it but I truly hope that one of the two teams will be us because honestly, we’ve been at the top all season.’
It will be the second ‘match ball’ for automatic promotion for the Rojiblancos as if we were talking about a tennis game and the 23-year-old player has recognised in this regard ‘it’s a scenario that we would’ve taken at the beginning of the season and we’re going to give everything to achieve it. We’re not going to think about the others because our goal is to go all out and win. We depend on ourselves and that’s vital.’
The Huevar del Aljarafe native describes each and every opponent from Leganes as top-class. CD Leganés played two years ago with the best and they were at the top of the table last season. I expect an end-to-end game.’
The massive travelling support that the thousands of Almeriensistas will give from the Butarque visitor stands has not gone unnoticed: ‘Support is fundamental. It’s been felt in Burgos, Valladolid, Malaga... everyone who can make it should come because we’ll need them. We want to give them the prize of the season. We’ll be waiting for them there and hopefully they can celebrate something nice,’ commented the UD Almería player.
