2-1: UD Almería Veterans beat Granada CF in Roquetas de Mar
Tribute match to legends Emilio, Gualda and Callejón. The Rojiblancos will play a charity tournament with Málaga CF, Betis and Sevilla FC
UD Almería Veterans have once again won as they notched up a 2-1 victory over Granada CF in the tribute match to three Roquetas de Mar and Almeria football legends, Gualda, Emilio and Callejón, who lived the golden age of football in Roquetas de Mar.
The game played at the Las Marinas field was attended by the institutional representation of the Roquetas de Mar City Council, councillors Rocío Sánchez Llamas and Mayte Fernández Borja.
Veteran players José Ortiz and Luisma scored the two goals that sealed victory for the Rojiblancos. Sergio Gómez scored for Granada CF.
UD Almeria Veterans’ Starting XI: Gualda, Alvaro, Peregrina, Albacete, Isma Callejón, Isidro, J. Martínez, J. Callejón, Emilio, José Ortiz and Luisma. Guille, Beltrán, Chema, Pedro García, Añoño, Moi Céspedes, Nico and Juan Martos also featured in the tribute match.
On another note, UD Almería Veterans have been invited to participate in a charity tournament organised in Malaga, in which Málaga CF, Betis Balompié and Sevilla FC will also take part.
