UD Almeria Women to take advantage of last chances for promotion this weekend

The Rojiblancas welcome Santa Teresa ‘B’ at 4:30pm this Saturday keeping their promotion hopes alive

UD Almería Women will compete this weekend keeping their chances of climbing into third position alive, which could lead them to promotion due to the readjustments in the creation of the new higher division and in addition, the numbers show that the Indalicas still have opportunities to move up even to the second place. The Emilio Campra Youth Stadium will host this encounter between the girls from Almeria and guests Santa Teresa ‘B’ this Saturday (KO 4:30pm CEST)

The Rojiblancas had to put up with a bitter defeat in Malaga last weekend considering that it was experienced in strange circumstances since two goals unfairly ruled out prevented Almeria Women from being closer to their dream of making it to a higher tier. Needless to say, as anything can happen in football, the numbers say that with 9 points remaining at stake, Almeria Women are 8 away from automatic promotion —ahead of CD Badajoz Women due to better goal difference— and 3 away from third place, which can suppose to move up by score, although with Cacereño  Women ‘B’ having a postponed game in hand.

Be that as it may, the Rojiblancas are not willing to 'let go' and have prepared the next encounter with Santa Teresa ‘B’ with high concentration. Whatever the final result of the campaign is, the players are offering the UD Almeria fans their best season in history.

The league appointment will be played at 4:30pm (CEST) this Saturday, with free admission to the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium so that Almeria citizens can enjoy the game live. That access will be free until the 100% capacity of the enabled stands is reached.

Head coach Álvaro García Búrdalo will not reveal the squad list in advance until Saturday.
